Reading a Can-Am VIN
Can-Am is BRP's powersports brand, and its side-by-sides, ATVs and on-road three-wheelers carry the 2BV world manufacturer identifier from Valcourt, Quebec, BRP's home plant, or 3JB for units built in Juárez, Mexico. Off-highway vehicles sit in a lower gross weight class than a car or truck, so a vPIC decode of a Can-Am tends to come back thinner than a passenger vehicle: model, year and engine class are reliable, but detailed safety-equipment fields that a car manufacturer files aren't always required for an off-road unit.
